Gary Haler had two especially interesting comments that I would like to share: In discussing capabilities and competetencies, Gary writes, "I would argue that they have some of the same letters but other than that they are different. They are different in the fact that strategic competencies address a combination of skills, processes and knowledge of the company. But strategic capabilities are broader and address the entire value chain of the company." Gary comments further, "It is the expansion into new business that provides the big payoff for capabilities-led growth." Thanks, Gary, for your insightful comments. Regards, Rudy Herrmann
