James Kidd did a very nice job of discerning the often subtle distinction between a competency and a capability. I boiled it down very nicely by saying, "The former is a technical resource while the latter is a process." James identified that it's often easier to replicate a competency which is one dimensional that it is a capability which is more likely to be multidimensional. Regards, Rudy Herrmann
